With a passion for design and communication, Mua ensures our message is as vibrant and clear as the aquariums we build.

He established Island Reefers in 2019 with the vision of setting a new standard in luxury aquarium design and installation in the Maldives. Under his leadership, the company has grown into a trusted provider of custom aquariums, large-scale resort installations, and professional marine system solutions.

With extensive experience in both residential and commercial projects, Ibthishaam has overseen the successful completion of more than 20 private aquarium installations and continues to lead on complex projects, including large resort-based marine Center. His expertise ensures that each project reflects a balance of aesthetic design, technical innovation, and sustainable practices.

As Managing Director, Ibthishaam remains actively involved in every stage of the business — from consultation and design to execution and long-term system maintenance. His focus is on delivering reliable, high-quality solutions that enhance client spaces while promoting the health and longevity of marine life.
